Family Baseball Team, 1920

This 1920 photo shows members of a baseball team composed primarily of members of the same McIntyre family. Baseball was a very popular form of recreation in company towns. The Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Company formed and sponsored baseball leagues, composed primarily of miners who worked for the company and were residents of the Company's coal towns.
